hello, what a wild and annoying journey. i am feeling much better and now know i have some health stuff to look out for. doing alright at the moment. not at productive as i'd like to be but WHATEVER!!!!!

during my break i caught up on some work for other people i needed to get done (which is a huge relief to get off my back), started creating updated cast page images and descriptions (the new ones are very good, im halfway done), and most shocking of all, finished the stupid chapter 1 redraw!!!!!!!!!!! a mere uhhhh 5 years later but its done. its done and the last few pages i've done i've been so, so pleased with. i would like to take some time to compile it in both a straight forward format and one version that has both the new pages, the old pages to compare them to, and author's notes/commentary.

i cant believe how much my anxiety and guilty at being alive receded when i got back to making comics again. we only have a buffer of 5 pages but it just feels good to get going again. i missed doing this. i hope you all enjoy this chapter, where we find out what maxine has been up to (bad things)

do me a favor and spread this around if you know any web comic fans. the drastic change in quality over the past decade of my work visible across the pages of the chapter 1 redraw gave me a little mood boost. i think i am making some enjoyable crap now that i know what it is im making and the story i want to tell for certain. it would be nice if it were read and found by the audience of likeminded weirdos. i think word of mouth from people who already read it would be useful.
